BTS Dominates US Charts’ Top 40 with ‘Mic Drop’

Internationally renowned Korean Pop artists BTS makes it to the US Top 40 with their hit song ‘Mic Drop (feat. Desiigner)’. The 7-piece K-Pop band has been making headlines here and there following their impeccable performance at the American Music Awards (AMAs). The Steve Aoki remix of ‘Mic Drop’ has also reached the US iTunes charts and a #28 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to MTV UK, BTS’ ‘Mic Drop’ is the first single by a K-Pop group to enter the Top 40. There have not been any other Korean Pop bands to be included in the charts. The last Korean singer who made it to the Top 40 was solo artist PSY for ‘Gangnam Style’.

BTS ‘Mic Drop’ just had a Japanese version released as part of their Japanese single album MIC Drop / DNA / Crystal Snow.
