A fire Tuesday evening destroyed Freddie Aguilar’s Quezon City home resulting to P20 million worth of valuables lost including some of his prized guitars, as reported by the Inquirer early Wednesday morning. According to the investigation of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire began at the ceiling of the home’s music room. The lost paintings, guitars, records, and awards would have amounted to at least P20 million.
ABS-CBN reported that the original recording of his hit song Anak was even destroyed. Only one guitar was left and even it was badly burned. An upright piano was completely charred from the fire. Fortunately, all of the people inside the house – his mother-in-law, son, and pregnant wife were safe and unharmed.
