The 32nd Golden Disk Awards this 2018 was confirmed early December 2017 that it will be held at the Ilsan Kintex Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea. To much of the Filipino K-Pop fans’ dismay, the Golden Disk Awards Manila 2018 will not push through any longer.

The much-awaited South Korean music awards show will be hosted by South Korean actor and singer Lee Seung Gi and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo actress Lee Sung Kyung. The second day of the GDA 2018 will be hosted by Sung Si Kyung and Kang Sora. This 2-Day event will celebrate the outstanding achievements of South Korean artists and will be attended by top musicians like supergroups BTS, EXO, and TWICE.

Golden Disk Awards 2018 Lineup: K-Pop Groups and Artists

Soompi also released the official Golden Disk Awards 2018 Lineup for the digital releases awards ceremony on January 10. All these artists have been nominated for the Digital Daesang:

  • IU
  • TWICE
  • Wanna One

The Golden Disk Awards 2018 lineup for the album division ceremony on January 11 is as follows:

  • EXO for “The War”
  • BTS for “Love Yourself: Her”
  • GOT7 for “Flight Log: Arrival”
  • SEVENTEEN for “TEEN, AGE”

Just last January 4, Soompi released the third lineup of artists for the 32nd Golden Disk Awards:

  • Hwang Chi Yeol
  • NU’EST W
  • Akdong Musician
  • WINNER
  • Hyukoh

Golden Disk Awards 2018 Details: Venue, Dates

The 32nd Golden Disk Awards will be held at the Ilsan Korean International (KINTEX) Exhibition Center in Seoul for two days, January 10 and 11, 2018. The digital releases ceremony will be on January 10 while the album releases ceremony will be held on January 11.

It was previously announced that the Golden Disk Awards 2018 will be held in Manila, but was cancelled due to a local investor’s “failure to comply with their responsibility to the owner of the original Golden Disc Awards Ceremony, JTBC PLUS,” as reported by All Access Production Philippines last December 5, 2017.
