Jungkook of BTS Covers Lee Hi’s ‘Breathe’
Jeon Jungkook of BTS covered ‘Breathe’ and shockingly received a bunch of negative reactions. The hashtag #WeLoveYouJungkook trended early January 17, a day after he posted the cover, when the artist was criticized for having used Jonghyun’s song for fame.
Many fans commented that Jungkook did not deserve the hate because he was merely performing a heartfelt song perhaps in remembering of Jonghyun’s legacy. Besides, a beautiful cover like that doesn’t deserve to be called “disrespectful” in any way.
He just covered a song, which is Lee Hi's Breathe and was composed by Jonghyun before. So who are you to say that he's using Jonghyun to get attention and fame? Who are you to use Jonghyun's death to hate someone? You guys are the most disgusting people. #WeLoveYouJungkook

In 2016, Lee Hi released a song called “Breathe” composed by the late Kim Jonghyun. And at the 32nd Golden Disk Awards just this 2018, Lee Hi performed the song in memory of the SHINee member’s passing.
Jungkook posted on the official BTS Twitter his acapella rendition of ‘Breathe’ and is honestly the most breathtaking thing that happened midnight of January 17.
