LIST: Best Yoga Studios in Metro Manila for 2018

LIST: Best Yoga Studios in Metro Manila for 2018

Believe us when we say finding the right yoga studio for you is quite the challenge. For you to grow as a yogi, you must find the right teaching style that resonates with you both physically and spiritually. This feeling of resonance greatly varies per person so, in simplest terms, the right yoga style is where you have a lot of fun during class but also get that feeling of having your physical strengths challenged.

In Metro Manila alone, there are more than 20 or 30 yoga studios independent of each other. They all have different philosophies and visions but they all share one thing – their respect towards an individual’s own practice. So finding a yoga studio is all about listening to your body first then slowly finding the right environment for you.

Ready to choose a yoga studio? Here are our top yoga studios in Metro Manila for 2018:

1. Beyond Yoga

There are already more than 2,000 “named” yoga poses to date but Beyond takes it a step further and creates variations to further strengthen and stretch the body. I’ve mentioned on Typist Life that Beyond focuses a lot on the workout aspect of yoga, so it’s a great studio to go to if you’re looking at taking up yoga mainly for its physical benefits. But if you’re here for a mental health break, I’ve found that their flows really make you focus and pull you in the present.

Beyond also offers classes in Antigravity Yoga (or aerial yoga) and Zumba!

The Mysore style of yoga asana practice is a particular way of teaching yoga within the Ashtanga Yoga tradition as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. he class is not "led" as a whole but rather all instruction is one-on-one within the group class setting. Students practice their own portion of the Ashtanga sequence of asanas at their own pace. In Mysore style students learn the fixed order of asanas combining movement with free breathing with sound. There are some differences in this method from the usual modern way in which yoga is taught. The teacher assists each student individually by giving physical adjustments & verbal instruction. Catch our Mysore Ashtanga Classes at: Beyond Serendra every Weekdays 7:00a – 8:30a Beyond Greenhills every Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:45a -8:15a & Tuesday, Thursday 1:00p – 2:30p
