The Philippines bags another international pageant crown as PH bet Jannie Loudette Alipo-on wins the 20th Miss Tourism International held in Malaysia last December 6, 2017. Aside from claiming the top spot, the young model also bagged the Miss Gintell Wellness special award. Prior to this international win, she was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017.
Alipo-on succeeds Ariel Pearse of New Zealand, Miss Tourism International 2017. This is the 4th time the Philippines has won this pageant.
Before entering this pageant, she worked as a freelance model and appeared on TV as one of the 24K models for the Philippine franchise of television game show Deal or No Deal. She has always been a frequent pageant participant, earning her top spots at the Miss Casino Filipino 2014 and the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 competitions.
At 25 years old, she told media after her win that being crowned was always a big dream for her since she was 18. As Miss Tourism International 2017, she will be receiving a scholarship worth RM60,000 (PHP 745,711) from the Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology, and RM10,000 (PHP 124,285) as cash prize.
