Starbucks PH Baristas Reveal Their Best Secret Menu Recipes
Pay attention to the little details in a Starbucks store and you’ll see in chalkboard paint a sign that says “Our Baristas are full of surprises. Ask them how to transform your drink.”
This, along with several courageous Starbucks customers, gave rise to the ‘secret menu,’ a list of drinks that make use of the base ingredients to create customized lattes, Frappuccinos, and iced shaken tea flavors.
On June 8, Starbucks Barista Brad Vargas and his co-barista posted a series of secret menu recipes that you can easily have made in any Starbucks branch in the Philippines.

Some of their secret menu recipes are a Starbucks-style milk tea, a take on a favorite childhood chocolate drink, and even a ‘marblized’ Green Tea Frappuccino that we haven’t heard of
Here are their recipes:
1. Starbucks Milk Tea
Recipe: Iced Shaken Black Tea (Base) + White Chocolate Mocha
Heading to Starbucks for milk tea? We’re not quite sold on the idea but if you’re the kind who likes to try his or her luck with things, Brad Vargas knows exactly how to make the milk tea blend with Starbucks ingredients. No pearls with this one though!
2. Strawberry Refresher
Recipe: Iced Shaken Black Tea + Strawberry Sauce
On our Starbucks secret recipe articles, we listed an item called “Strawberry Tea” which was a recommendation to us by our regular Starbucks barista. It consisted of an Iced Youthberry Full-Leaf Tea combined with strawberry sauce.
In Brad Vargas’ version, instead of using Youthberry (White Tea on the menu), he uses Black Tea, a caffeinated Starbucks Full-Leaf Tea that is usually the base for many milk tea blends.
3. Chocolate Lover
Recipe: Iced Classic Chocolate + Replace Vanilla Syrup with White Chocolate Mocha
When it’s cold in the morning, you get the Starbucks Classic Hot Chocolate. When it’s a little warmer than usual, it’s the iced version. You do this regularly until you get bored, but you’re too scared to try anything else on the menu.
Here’s an upgrade to your chocolate drink – a Chuckie-inspired Starbucks drink that’s not complicated to order at all. Just order the Iced Classic Chocolate but replace the Vanilla syrup with White Chocolate Mocha!
4. Oreo Frappuccino
Recipe: White Chocolate Mocha Iced Blended Frappuccino + Chocolate Chips
This one’s a simple customized drink you can do anytime you’re craving for an Oreo-flavored smoothie. Ask your barista to blend in chocolate chips, some ice, and the White Chocolate Mocha Espresso Beverage and you’ll have yourself some cookies-and-cream goodness in no time!
Recipe: Iced Caramel Macchiato + Replace Vanilla Syrup with Raspberry Syrup
Disclaimer: this drink isn’t associated with the Korean pop group at all! No idea why some have been saying that on the secret menu thread but I guess people had to know.
The ‘Blackpink’ drink also made it to our previous list of secret menu items. Starbucks customers have commented on how “Instagrammable” the drink is because of its pink gradient. It’ll also add a fresh fruity taste to your regular Caramel Macchiato.
6. Green Tea Marble
Recipe: Green Tea Frappuccino + Strawberry Syrup (asked to be ‘marblized’)
The famous Green Tea Frappuccino just got better. Ask your barista to ‘marblize’ your Green Tea Frap with strawberry sauce and you’ll get something like a matcha dessert or that limited edition Starbucks Dragon Frappuccino!

7. Pink Drink
Recipe: Chilled Milk + Raspberry Syrup + Vanilla Syrup + Caramel Drizzle
Popularized by Filipina YouTuber Pamela Swing, the Pink Drink is a bright pink secret menu item that mimics the look of Starbucks USA’s Strawberry Açai Refresher made with coconut milk. But for this one, it’s chilled milk with raspberry syrup, vanilla syrup, and caramel drizzle on the sides of the cup.
This Pink Drink is super sweet and creamy! Maybe it’s a bit too sweet even for sweet tooths but it’s something new to try on your next Starbucks visit.

8. Barista’s Drink
Recipe: Iced White Mocha Americano (no water) + Splash of Breve
The Barista’s Drink is one of Brad Vargas’ top picks for coffee lovers, which is why he made sure to add it to his list of favorite secret menu recipes.
According to this Starbucks subreddit, the ‘Barista’s Drink’ which really doesn’t have an official name, is a ‘cheater’s drink’. It’s a White Chocolate Mocha but with a recipe will end up cheaper than ordering an actual White Chocolate Mocha Espresso Beverage.
9. Devil’s Drink
Recipe: Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew + 2 Shots of Espresso
Order at your own risk! The Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew will already test your sleeping cycle on its own. Add two more shots of espresso and you better get ready for hours and hours of no sleep.
10. Mint Hibiscus Tea
Recipe: Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea + Strawberry Sauce + Menthe (Mint Syrup)
Based on Vargas’ last few items on the list, he seems to have an affinity towards mint syrup. This tea recipe uses an Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea base flavored with mint to give that cool and refreshing taste perfect for warm humid days.
11. Mint Chocolate Frappuccino
Recipe: Java Chip Frappuccino + Menthe
Another mint recipe is this Java Chip Frappuccino with added Menthe. This secret menu recipe is for every mint-chocolate lover out there looking to turn the sweet treat into a drink.
12. Mint Mocha
Recipe: Mocha Frappuccino + Menthe
Last on the Brad Vargas’ secret menu list is a customized Mocha Frappuccino. The Starbucks USA website has a ‘Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino’ on its menu and though we don’t have that on our menu, it’s one of the easiest to recreate.
For a drink that will instantly remind you of the holidays, try adding a pump of Menthe to your regular Starbucks Mocha or Dark Mocha Frappuccino.
