Top 10 Best Bullet Journal Notebooks For 2018

Make 2018 your year by taking your organization levels one notch up. It’s okay, just one up will do for now.

Bullet journaling (bujo) initially started out as a way to organize tasks within the day or week. The trend grew fast and bujo soon became a creative outlet for many. Think of it as a cross between planners and scrapbooks. You can be as decorative or as minimalist as you want, just as long as it still functions as an organizing tool for you.

Bullet journaling doesn’t have to be that hard but picking your first bujo notebook can be a little daunting with all the options you can choose from. We scoured the world (or just a few bullet journal Facebook groups) for the best bullet journal notebooks and we’ve seen a lot of constant chart-toppers!

Here are our top 10 best bullet journal notebooks you can buy to finally organize your life this 2018:

Moleskine Hard Cover Large

The Moleskine pages are soft and easy to write on. It’s great with fountain pens, with the Platinum Preppy being one of my faves for writing headings. This bullet journal notebook isn’t a waterproof one so I wouldn’t recommend using watercolor on it.

Hobonichi Techo A6

The Hobonichi is the top choice for craft and journalling YouTuber RainbowholicTV who loves to go all out with her journaling. The paper on this is great for watercolor painting too. And no bleed! Flip through the pages and you’ll see some Japanese folk tales and trivia. Added points for motivational words at the bottom of each page!

Zimo Journal

Zimo released their first line of journals just last 2017. Bullet journal junkies in the Philippines instantly noticed it because of its minimalist design and simplicity, kind of like the Moleskine but cheaper and more accessible for purchase. The smooth paper makes it the ideal journal for those practicing brush lettering.

Miniso Dotted Notebooks

Miniso has everything! While you’re there, don’t forget to check out their stationery section. If you’re looking for a cheap, easy to find dotted bullet journal, this is the place for you.

Leuchtturm1917 A5

The Leuchtturm is definitely one of my dream journals. Established way back in 1917, Leuchtturm has been home to thousands of the highest quality stationery. This journal has a built-in index and pagination, two very important elements in traditional bullet journaling.

Limelight Sketchbook

Artists will love the Limelight Sketchbook best because of the paper’s versatility. You can bring them with you for sketching on the road or even for watercolor painting and you won’t have to worry if the paper can handle it all.

Victoria’s Journals

The various cover designs of this brand’s journals are what makes them unique from the other bullet journal notebooks. While some prefer a more minimalist and simple design, Victoria’s Journals’ notebooks are metallic and glittery.

Rhodia Webbies

For practicing with fountain pens, I would always go back to the Rhodia paper. The ink just glides on well and the paper doesn’t catch on the nib! Choose the Rhodia if you plan on using fountain pens (and probably dip pens too) for your 2018 bullet journal spreads.

Muji Double Ring Journal

The Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen writes so well on the Muji notebooks! If you’re looking for a ringed bullet journal this 2018, make sure to check out the Muji ones. They’re high quality and will satisfy the minimalist in you, no doubt.

Midori MD Notebook

Last is the Midori MD Notebook. You might have trouble finding it in the Philippines but if you’re lucky enough to head over to Japan this year, make sure you stop by a stationery store and grab one of these bullet journal notebooks!
