Top 5 Best Hotel Buffets in Metro Manila for 2018: Prices, Details

It’s almost lunchtime here at the Typist HQ and naturally, we’re already heckin’ hungry for a feast. Sometimes, it’s convenience store food but there are times we just like to dream about the next time we’re heading over to a hotel buffet. Yeah, just dream. Truth be told, a hotel buffet hasn’t happened here yet but we’re praying it will sometime soon.

However, despite these regular grand dreams, we’ve already had a good share of the city’s best hotel buffets throughout the years. We’ve rounded up seven of them for this list of the best hotel buffets in Metro Manila:

1. Corniche – Diamond Hotel Manila

While Diamond Hotel Manila is also known for Yurakuen, their Japanese teppanyaki style restaurant, their buffet Corniche is one showstopper that we think isn’t being talked about enough. They even have a dedicated cheese and sausage platter selection area!

They also strike off a good amount off their buffet price quite often, especially during holidays. For Mother’s Day 2018, the dinner buffet at Corniche is priced only at Php 2,544 nett per person from its original Php 3,180. There are even certain occasions when the price goes as low as Php 1,600. And you get themed dinner buffets.

Don’t forget to try the mantou!

Buffet Hours:

  • Breakfast from 6:00 am to 10:00 am
  • Lunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
  • Dinner from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm

2. Cafe Ilang Ilang – The Manila Hotel

I’ve always put The Manila Hotel’s Cafe Ilang Ilang at the back of my mind because I had this notion it was too expensive to be worth it at all. But until Christmas came and countless friends started going on and on about The Manila Hotel’s bibingka, puto bumbong, and the buffet’s grand selections, I was convinced sure Cafe Ilang Ilang was unlike your usual buffet.

Cafe Ilang Ilang is truly one of the classic ‘OG’ hotel buffets you can get here in the city and there’s no fighting over that. The buffet has an open Pan-Asian kitchen, Churrasco station, decadent dessert station, and an Italian kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven. Who’s going to say no to that?

Buffet Hours:

  • Breakfast from 6:00 am to 10:30 am
  • Lunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
  • Dinner from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Price:

  • Breakfast Buffet (Daily): Php 1,500 nett per person

3. Food Exchange Manila – Novotel Manila Araneta Center

Novotel’s Food Exchange Manila is a relatively cheaper yet equally fulfilling hotel buffet. It’s a popular choice for post-graduation feasts and that ‘first-sweldo‘ dinner out with the family.

Plus, all roads lead to Cubao anyway, right?

Buffet Hours:

4. Cucina – Marco Polo Ortigas Manila

Cucina at Marco Polo Ortigas is an all-day restaurant and buffet at the 24th floor of the hotel tower. Most hotels would place their buffet areas right next to the lobby but Marco Polo wants you to enjoy the city skyline, and perhaps the sunset while indulging in their top quality selection of food. In addition, Marco Polo Ortigas was awarded a five-star rating by the Forbes Travel Guide for 2017 and 2018.

Occasionally, Cucina at Marco Polo would bust out their promotional rates bringing their regular prices down to a very tempting Php 1,500 per person!

5. Spiral – Sofitel Manila

Spiral at Sofitel Manila will never disappoint. If you’re a fan of cheese, the buffet area has an entire room dedicated to just cheese. All the kinds of cuisine you can think about are here, plus a dessert table that will prove that all dessert tables you’ve been to were just not enough.

At a steep price, I can say that Spiral at Sofitel Manila is one unique experience you should try at least once in your life. It’s better to share it with other people, of course, after you convince them to join you in this luxurious buffet.
