Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez looks like she’s set to win the crown at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 pageant. During a pre-pageant activity, she performed an elegant Muslim folk dance on a Bolivian TV show called El Mañanero.
Wyn performed this mesmerizing fan dance in traditional Muslim attire then quickly transitioned into a one-piece dancesports style dress for the second part of her performance.
The dance, which was posted on Facebook by Philippine Pageant News has already been viewed more than 122,000 times.
Wyn is also very experienced in dance, earning her Best in Talent in the Miss World Philippines 2017 competition. This is probably not a surprise to most since she got her interest in dancing from her mother, former actress and dancer Alma Moreno.
She is currently in Bolivia to represent the Philippines in the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant this 2017. This is the first time the Philippines is competing in the said pageant since the competition was formed in 1991. From 1991 to 2003, the pageant was only restricted to 10 South American countries but slowly opened its doors to more nations celebrating Hispanic cultural heritage.
Wyn Marquez has been enjoying her stay in Bolivia with the other candidates, saying on an Instagram post that she is lucky she’s with kind contestants who even translate questions for her.
Jumping from one shoot to another, guestings left and right and i’m enjoying every minute of it! minsan struggle sa mga interviews pero ang swerte ko dahil sobrang babait lang ng candidates and they make sure may chance ako makapagsalita at tinatranslate nila yung mga tanong saakin..❤️ shout out to Ms. Nicaragua, Ms. Paraguay, Ms. Cuba and Ms. Panama!❤️ @pgloriaoficial @rhispanaoficial
